Why the Govt. neglects the first freedom fighter of India ?

The forgotten hero of Andhra Pradesh Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy has always been neglected by the Govt. The reasons for the same may not be clear but one should never forget the sacrifices of such inspirative personalities. Uyyalawada is credited to be the first freedom fighter of India as he revolted 11 years earlier(1846) than the 'Sepoy mutiny' that took place in 1857. He was one among hundreads of Palegars of South India who iherited 'samsthanams' from the times Araveedu rulers.
When the Officials of East India Company started collecting taxes from the draught affected peasants... the Palegar of Nossam Sansthan Budda(uyyalawada) Narasimha Reddy revolted and killed 2 Tahsildars and robbed of the treasuries. He recruited thousands of grieved people as his militia and fought against the govt. He created uproar in the govt for about 6 months but was defeated at Cumbum by the armed forces of Captain Cochrane and Holte. He escaped and took refuge in Nallamala Forest for many days. In September 1846, he came back to his jurisdiction to rebuild the militia. When in underground he was staying at Jagannatha Konda near Perusomula Village. The british came to know about him through some informant and attacked the hill in the midnight of October 6,1846. After a brave lone fighting Narasimha reddy was caught and brought to koilkuntla the next day. He was taken in procession on the streets of koilkuntla with bloodshed clothes and injuries. On 22nd of February, 1847, he was hanged publicly at Koilkuntla. His head was kept hanging on the front gate of Panduranga swamy temple till 1877.
Now the debate is... why the govts have been neglecting such a great hero..? When the Govt of Tamilnadu is honouring the palegars (palayekkarans) of similar history, why the telugu hero is not being recognised. The famous Paleyakkarans of T Nadu ...Kattabomman, Puli devar and Dheeran Chinnamalai are honored with memorial halls, statues, postal stamps. Their life histories are being published as lessons in high school syllubus of Tamilanadu.. Where as the AP govt failed to even recognise the adventurous history of Narasimha Reddy. Atleast , On the eve of his 163rd death Anniversary, let us hope the Govt takes some initiations to honour the legend.
